I love pots.

 I love being a maker.

It is incredible to be connected to such a long history of utilitarian objects. Jomon pottery from Japan dates back to 14,000 B.C.! As I make and use simple pots I can’t help but think of the first hands that held a drinking vessel and the thirsty gatherer who sipped from it.

The skilled hands of the maker were they cracked and dry as mine are today? As we drink and store food in our pots are we not connected to those who stored grain and shared drink so long ago?
